Summary

We begin this learning unit by introducing you to the key ideas to be presented, objectives and learning outcomes.  We examine a process you may follow to develop or re-vision a family and community literacy program or initiative at your Aboriginal Head Start site. This learning unit is oriented to help you think through the stages of planning, designing, implementing and evaluating an Aboriginal family and community literacy initiative and give you tools and practical suggestions for these tasks.  This learning unit is applicable for Aboriginal Head Start sites that are already running family literacy programs or for those who are thinking about incorporating a new initiative or activities at their project site.
